How your days are counted

Your age in days is the number of calendar days from your birth date to today. On your birth date you are 0 days old, and every midnight adds one. Leap days count like any other day.

A day milestone is your birth date plus that many days. Your 10,000th day is 10,000 days after your birth date, and your 1,000th week is 7,000 days after it.

For your age in years, months and days instead, use the Age Calculator. To count down to your next birthday, see Days Until My Birthday, and to find the weekday you were born on, try What Day Was I Born.

Second milestones count from midnight at the start of your birth date in your time zone. One billion seconds is 11,574 days and a little under 2 hours, so it lands on day 11,574. Your exact moment is your birth time plus 1 hour, 46 minutes and 40 seconds, so if you were born after 10:13 pm it falls on the next day.

Worked example

Born March 21, 1996. On October 2, 2026 you are 11,152 days old. Your 10,000th day was Monday, August 7, 2023. Your 1 billion seconds day is Sunday, November 28, 2027 (day 11,574), and your 20,000th day is Friday, December 23, 2050.
